(PROJECT 05)
LUMEN ARCHIVE
COVER IMAGE — 16:9
(OVERVIEW)
A digital archive for a photography foundation.
(CHALLENGE)
A photography foundation held 40,000 images in boxes and spreadsheets. Researchers and the public had no way to explore them.
(APPROACH)
We designed an archive that puts images first: infinite grids, minimal metadata and a search that feels like browsing a contact sheet.

(THE STORY)
The brief
Lumen archive came to us looking for a digital home for four decades of photography. The goal was not to add more, but to find the few elements that could carry the whole brand with confidence.
What we made
Over several months we worked side by side with the Lumen Archive team — from early workshops to the final launch files. Every decision was tested against one question: does this make the work clearer?
The result is a system that is easy to use, hard to break and quiet enough to last for years.
