Where the name SONOMO comes from — and why we almost called ourselves something else.
Sound first
We wanted a name that sounds calm when spoken out loud, works in every language we design for and has no obvious meaning.
Three syllables
SONOMO is symmetrical, soft and easy to remember. It doesn’t describe what we do — and that is exactly the point.
The name gave us permission to build a studio around restraint.
